Mamatography - Week 28

Day 190

Regardless of the heat, the best place to nap is on Mommy. I wouldn't trade those naps for the world. Even when it is 100° inside!

Day 191

Took Spencer for an Upper GI. That was an experience... for another post.

Day 192

Sasha asks me to take pictures of her a lot now. She even asked me to take this sad picture. She always wants to see the pictures immediately on the camera.

Sasha has had lots of tummy aches lately and vomited twice, so we took her to the doctor. This is her singing / dancing Daddy's favorite song. The doctor has suggested we try cutting lactose.

Day 193

We discover another reason our air conditioner can't keep up.. it is covered in mud (made of dust and condensation).

Day 194

While Daddy is out, I get park staff to help me figure out how to get the awning out. It made a big difference to the temperature in our travel trailer, which catches sun all afternoon.

Sasha's bunk with her toy basket completely dumped.

Time to try Lactose Free milk, as funded by WIC. Sasha likes it just fine.

Day 195

Physical Therapy day for Tyler. Cynthia has her walking backwards on the treadmill. I like Cynthia. She tells Tyler how it is, but is also gentle and understanding with her.

Day 196

Sasha can't have ice cream, which we like to keep on hand. So we picked up these Italian Ices. They come with sucker spoons and she loves them!

It was a big spider day! We moved 2 medium and 2 small spiders all to larger cages, then we took King out of his cage so we could clean it and provide fresh dirt. Here he is on a full size plate!

Passing the time (an hour) before watching a double feature at the local Drive In!

Are you up for a challenge? One that will take something from you every day, but give a whole lot back too? How about joining me for the photography challenge in 2012 then? A photo a day of whatever your day involved. You can jump in any time through the year!

If you’d still like to join us, you can start at any time, just sign up here and our host will email you further information.

Without further ado, here is the current list of all participants for Mamatography 2012 so far!

  1. ACK! That spider is SO FREAKING HUGE!!! I can deal with having a pet snake in the house, but I don't think I could do spiders. Don't ask me why, I KNOW its totally irrational.

I remember how hot our bus got and we often wished for an awning, but it was always way too far out of our budget:( When it would get hard for our A/C to keep up (we had a HUGE unit), Patrick would talk about painting the roof silver or something reflective to take away some of the heat. I can't remember if he ever did it, though.

The naptime photo is just *awwwwww*:)

    1. Elmo had me catch an adorable FAST jumping spider hovering over the bed last night. I just set it free outside tonight. King is monstrous and has some of the most irritating urticating hairs out there... I itched all night!

Did you ever run a sprinkler over it? We've talked about doing that, too. Since cleaning the A/C and putting the awning out, we've done a lot better.

  2. I love the italian ices! I will be looking for these (with sucker spoons) at our next grocery adventure.

    Visiting from Natural Parents Network!

    1. Thanks for stopping by! If you find them on FB (PhillySwirl) and message them to request some, they will totally send you coupons! :-D

The flavors sound... interesting. I was surprised, but she likes every single one!

  3. Big Brother always wants to see the pics of him immediately, too ;-)

Love that you went to the drive-in! We haven't been yet this summer, but now I want to go asap ;-)

    1. Our local drive in has quite the history. The scene from The Outsiders was filmed here. It burned down a while back and was just rebuilt. It only re-opened within this past month.
